SKAGIT RIVER RESORT

Travel Agent Commission Program

We welcome and encourage bookings made by our friends in the travel industry. We look forward to establishing a mutually rewarding association between Skagit River Resort (SRR) and your Agency.

This program is designed to reward ASTA & IATA member travel agents which book with us regularly. In order to participate in this program, each agency or agency branch office shall:

  1. Provide a list of individual agents on the office’s letterhead stationery, sent by postal mail, of all persons who are authorized by the firm to book reservations in the name of the agency. At this time the agency must also provide proof of ASTA and/or IATA membership, and its UBI/tax registration number if offices are located in Washington State.
  2. Specify, for each reservation placed, the agency, branch (if applicable) and agent’s name, along with any purchase order or other reservation ID the agency requires to identify the booking.
  3. Provide full guest information (name, address, phone, email, etc) before date of arrival, even if the lodging will be paid for by the agency.
  4. Consult our Rates page for seasonal lodging pricing, holiday periods and reservation policies.
  5. (For Agency-paid reservations) Send full payment including sales* and lodging taxes, less 5% commission (computed on the amount before tax) by company check or credit card, so as to insure receipt by SRR within one week of booking or in advance of the guest’s arrival, whichever is sooner. Agency shall provide SRR with a copy of the agency-issued voucher, which shall be valued at the full amount paid by the guest to the agency. Upon arrival at the Resort the guest will turn in the original voucher as evidence of payment for the accommodations.  (* --  If Agency remits guest WA sales tax liabilities directly to the DOR, ie agency treats SRR a wholesaler for lodging services resold to its clients, this must be communicated in advance of guest arrival, and the voucher must indicate this clearly.  Lodging taxes must always be remitted to SRR.  Any taxes left unpaid by the Agency shall be charged to the guest upon arrival.)
  6. (For Agency-paid reservations) Earn quarterly retroactive rebates, computed as follows: Agency offices that have qualified by providing SRR more than $1000 in reservations (before taxes and deducted commissions) during the previous twelve months shall be issued a rebate check in the amount of 5% of the sum of such paid-for bookings made during the past calendar quarter. (Note: Agency-paid and Guest-paid reservations will not be combined when computing such retroactive rebates, aside from looking at the previous 12 month period to determine qualification.)
  7. (For Guest-paid reservations) Make sure that guest complies with all of SRR’s reservations procedures, including providing a deposit or credit card guarantee.
  8. (For Guest-paid reservations) Earn quarterly retroactive rebates, computed as follows: Agency offices that have qualified by providing SRR with between $200 and $499.99 in reservations (before taxes) which have been fully paid by the occupying guests during the previous twelve months shall be issued a rebate check in the amount of 5% of the sum of the past quarter's paid-for reservations; between $500 and $999.99 a rebate of 7.5%; and $1000 or more a rebate of 10%. (Note: Guest-paid and Agency-paid reservations will not be combined when computing such retroactive rebates, aside from looking at the previous 12 month period to determine qualification.)
  9. Accept our refund policy. In the event of cancellation or early departure of Agency-paid reservations, no immediate refund shall be paid to the agency. Instead a credit for the value of accommodations which SRR was able to resell shall be carried forward and may be applied by the agency toward future bookings. However, SRR will periodically aggregate any unused credits and issue a cumulative single refund check. Cancelled or early departing Guest-paid reservations are subject to our refund policies shown on the Rates page. All commission and retroactive rebate calculations will be computed on reservations made less such refunds due or paid.
  10. Earn accommodation credits for each individual named agent. Each 20 nights of paid overnight stays booked by an individual agent shall entitle that person to one night’s free accommodation at the Resort. Unit assignment and availability dates are at the discretion of SRR, and must be reserved in advance. Other familiarization visits can be arranged--please call our office to speak to a Manager.
