Some organizations and sites that stimulate interest in activities that make the North Cascades such an interesting and enjoyable place to visit.

• Alpine Adventures - Winter bald-eagle & summer float trips on the Skagit River.
• Chinook Expeditions - Shane Turnbull, a native son of Marblemount, operates rafting and nature expeditions year-round on the best of the Pacific NW's rivers. Winter bald eagle float trips on the Skagit River.
• Pacific Northwest Float Trips - Dave & Jane Button split their time between Haines, Alaska & Sedro-Woolley, Washington just down the road from us, running great raft trips in WA, BC and AK.
• Anew Outdoors - John Schaefer and company provide all-around outdoor recreation workshops & trips: Sea Kayaking, Fly Fishing, Hiking, Backpacking, Climbing, Alpinism, Ski Touring, Snow Shoeing and Group Retreats.
• Cascade Bicycle Club
• Seattle International Randonneurs - SIR is a bicycling club dedicated to unsupported endurance riding. They occasionally pedal through our area - check out their 100km-1000km ride reports.
• Washington Trails Association - Started as Signpost Magazine, the WTA is a volunteer-driven, non-profit organization working since 1966 to preserve, enhance and promote hiking opportunities in Washington state through collaboration, education, advocacy and trail maintenance. Good folks.
• North Cascades Mountain Guides - Offers course and private trips in mountaineering, alpine-, ice- and rock-climbing, as well as backcountry skiing. Based in Mazama.
• Northwest Cycling
• Washington Alpine Club - Car-touring, hiking & river trips too tame? Check out trip and climb reports here if you really want to get high into the vertical and ice-covered places in the North Cascades.

• Pacific Crest Trail Association - All about the trail that traverses the US from the Canadian border in the North Cascades to the Mexican border in Southern California.
• Pacific Northwest Trail Association - From the continental divide in Montana to the shore of the Pacific on the Olympic Peninsula, much of this newly designated 1200 mile trail traverses country just north of the resort
