Please consider Skagit River Resort for your next group activity. We have an ideal location and facility for many types of one-of-a-kind or recurring events. Should your needs be as simple as finding a spot to hold a short meeting, or as complex as finding a venue for a multiple-day retreat requiring lodging and food service for many people, we can help you.

Some types of groups & events the Resort can provide for:

WEDDINGS

Every year we host a good number of weddings, especially in the Spring and Summer when the trees are all in leaf and the flowers are blooming. The Resort is a great location for a wedding party coming from a distance, as the families and guests can reserve a large block of cabins and meet and get acquainted easily, with room outside for the exuberant youngsters. Catering and reception services are available at The Eatery, and the Brookhaven Great Room fireplace is a great backdrop for those wedding party photographs. We also have a miniature chapel located across the highway on our river front property. This small facility is open for quiet contemplation all the time. Wildwood Chapel can be reserved for small weddings (inside seating capacity is only nine), although we've had larger ceremonies with guests seated outside on warm summer days. REUNIONS

This is a perfect spot for family get-togethers. The kids love the bunnies, and the adults can gather and reminisce around one or more of the larger cabins. Meals can be as simple as meeting at The Eatery, or the kitchens in the cabins can be brought into play for a family potluck. The Brookhaven activity room is available for a memory-evoking slide show or home movies. For many years we hosted Trinity Presbyterian Church retreats, where people made really deep, wonderful friendships to last a life time.  These folks still come up, small group reunions now, and we all get together and reminisce about great times had, and catch up on what everyone is doing. TOURS & RALLIES

Whether your group is traveling in a tour bus, rallying in RV's or antique roadsters, or negotiating the North Cascades Highway by two-wheeled transport, the Resort is a welcome rest and overnight spot on the Puget Sound side of the mountains. The Eatery has a special menu just for tour groups who are on a tight schedule and would like to get in and out quickly.

DAY GATHERINGS & PICNICS

We invite all you event planners who are looking for a great place for your company to have that wonderful annual picnic or day retreat, to consider our facilities.   AT&T Wireless, Pacific NW Bell, banking firms, senior citizen retirement homes, and many bus tours are some of our customers. We have large BBQ's that can put out food for a lot of people.  If the group wants to stay overnight, we have our cabins as well as tenting and RV camping. At night, the fire pit is very cozy for telling wonderful stories, or having a song fest.  Sack races, egg tossing, wheel barrel races, bunny hole golf, volleyball, badminton, horse shoes, and water balloon tosses can be some of the old fashioned fun at your company picnic or gathering. Come up and let us make memories for you and your group. We are only two hours from Seattle, but well worth the trip. Our bunnies will be waiting to entertain you.

TRAINING SESSIONS & WORKSHOPS

If you are a corporate trainer, motivational speaker or special interest consultant and program presenter, we'd like to invite you consider holding your next event here at Skagit River Resort. We have small and large public spaces, space for outdoor activities, can provide for meal service, and have overnight accommodations in several price ranges should your attendees come from a distance or if you plan a multi-day presentation. If you are marketing your services to the public, let us help you target your promotional efforts to Skagit County (we're just one hour from the I-5 corridor) and nearby Snohomish & Whatcom counties

MEETINGS, RETREATS & CONFERENCES

Let us host your next corporation, business affinity group, religious organization or special interest association multi-day event. We know it is hard to find an affordable place to gather together so your members or employees can work on team-building and learn new things.  Well, Skagit River Resort is just the place.  Don't spend money on airplane fairs to Montana -- we have wonderful mountains, gorgeous scenery, fresh air and a comfortable environment where good people can come together -- all right here in western Washington, and just a few hours from home.  Our newly added activity/conference room is waiting for the opportunity to serve your needs, and we can even cater food to your meetings from our Eatery Restaurant or you can make reservations to eat there during breaks.  Video, VCR, cable TV, fax, E-mail availability. We will try to supply your every need and the peace and quiet you need. Your people will go back to the city sharper, refreshed and more prepared to help your organization advance and prosper.

Even if your needs do not call for overnight lodging, Skagit River Resort might be just the right place for your group to gather during the day. We have meal service available at The Eatery, and for more private events on fair weather days we can serve up your food al fresco at outdoor tables or at the Brookhaven Picnic Shelter. Other group space is provided indoors at Brookhaven, in the main floor Great Room or downstairs Activity Room.

The Details

Groups making direct reservations for overnight accommodations will benefit with a 10% discount off our listed rates, provided that the following conditions are met:

• Three or more accommodation units are occupied for the full length of the stay

• There is one main contact person who coordinates/communicates between the Resort and the group

• Names and addresses of occupants of each specific accommodation unit are provided for our records

• An arrival guarantee must be provided by valid credit card number

• A single deposit for one-third of the group's lodging bill (paid by check or processed credit card transaction, not including any discount) is due at the time the reservation is booked

• One month cancellation notice is required for full refund of the deposit. Otherwise, the deposit will be returned (less a $25 service fee) only if the reserved units are eventually re-booked and occupied by other guests

• The group makes final payment in a single transaction (including all extra-person and miscellaneous service charges), with the discount applied at this time.

• For larger groups, one accommodation unit shall be provided free of charge for each ten units occupied. This is in addition to the 10% group discount. (This means: if you book and pay for 10 to 19 units you'll get one additional unit gratis, for 20 to 29 units paid you'll get two additional units gratis, etc). Selection of such free accommodation shall be limited to available space and may not be priced higher than the average room rate of any ten of the units which the group is occupying.
