SKAGIT RIVER RESORT

Fishing & Hunting

Fishing

Skagit River Resort is a favorite base camp for fishers who are looking to catch their limit of the popular game species found in our local rivers, streams and lakes.  This sport is regulated by the Washington Department of Fish & Wildlife, and we urge anyone interested in setting a line to obtain a copy of the current Fishing in Washington sport fishing rules.  You can obtain a copy of this 129 page booklet at the place you purchase your fishing license, or you can download one in PDF format (4.7MB) from their website or here, and then save it on your computer. We usually have some copies here at the Resort, along with maps plus lots of  information on hiking trails and other things to do in the area.

As a convenience to our guests, we extract some of the information from the booklet each year, and have it available as a single sheet handout which we call our Quick Fishing Guide.

We recommend the services of a good fishing guide --

Shuttle Service

Please contact us if you require our help in shuttling your vehicles to/from trailheads and put-in/take-out spots on the river.  You must arrange this in advance.  Our shuttle fee, which depends on the number of people and distance to be traveled, is very reasonable -- talk to Bob at the Resort Office.  It usually works this way:  Come to the Office (if it's a river trip, you should already have dropped off your boat at your put-in point).  Our van will follow you to your take-out point or hike-out point, where your will park your vehicle (and boat trailer) where it will be waiting for you at the end of your wilderness trip.  We'll then shuttle you to your trip starting point.
