Larry Green performed a memorable homage to the work and style of Neil Young, the rock singer/songwriter of the mid 1960s and early 1970s. Young was recognizable for his high-pitched, nasal voice and for his deeply personal lyrics and Larry nailed that to a tee.  As you might know of that time, our country was experiencing troubled times on our college campuses and flower children were growing up.  It was a very eye-opening time for our country and the youth of the day.  I know, I was just out of high school and felt the conflict between what you wanted to do and what your parents felt you should do with your life.  Neil Young sang songs that reflected this time in our country and Larry Green did a excellent rendition of his music. I think all the guests did enjoy him and will be back for more of our concerts.

House Concert:  Larry Green

"THE LONER” is a one man show featuring Larry Green on guitar, harmonica and vocals performing the acoustic songs of musical genius NEIL YOUNG.  Green has been doing his Neil Young Tribute for many years and has toured all over the world. Even playing as far away as Indonesia, The Loner is always true to the studio recorded versions of all of Mr. Young’s songs.   Great attention to detail and authenticity is always the main focus of his shows. The Loner features the between-songs banter, the exact tunings used by Young and even the acoustic stage set (right down to the same oriental rug) seen at Young’s concerts.   The Loner has had an Eagles Tribute band open for him on tour and has opened for such artists as Pat Boone, Nicolette Larson and Tom Waits.  According to the Seattle Times:  “There are several Neil Young tribute bands and solo artists that play Young’s songs very well. No one sounds as close to the master, however, as The Loner as evidenced in his live concerts.....”

7:30pm at Brookhaven Lodge.
